830,000 people die each year from mosquitos. Will you be the next?
Mosquitoes are horrible insects, and you need to get rid of them with the most reliable and best mosquito repellent band.
Mosquitoes bites killed 830,000 people worldwide in 2018 alone. Just to put that in perspective, mosquitoes kill almost twice as much as human murderers, with human murderers killing about 475,000 people every year.
Fortunately, with this, there is now a large market full of various different mosquito repellent bands! So, you may ask yourself, what are the best mosquito repellent bands?
That’s what I will be covering in this article. All of these bands are non-invasive, with either all-natural formulas or bands that are powered by electricity to ensure the best quality of a product.
Let’s dig in.
1. My Recommended Mosquito Repellent Band
This is the best mosquito repellent bracelet in my experience. The Cliganic 10 pack waterproof mosquito repellent bands contains all-natural active ingredients, including Geranium oil, Lemongrass oil, and Citronella oil. Every one of these oils is powerful mosquito repellents.

The best part is that this product is dirt-cheap, from $1 per bracelet(10 pack) to $0.76 per bracelet(50 pack.) This is a trendy brand, and they often get sold out fast, so if it is unavailable, simply bookmark it.

2. Luxury Mosquito Repellent Band Recommendation
My luxury mosquito bracelet recommendation is Para’Kito Insect and Bug Repellent Wristband. This patented product is a reliable, high-quality band that has refillable pellets. This product uses Lavanida, Citronella, Geranium, Pine Tree, Clove Bud, Peppermint, and Patchouli Essential oils.
This bug repellent bracelet does have a huge difference between all the others. These bracelets do not need to be replaced after a certain amount of time.
Instead, these bracelets come with two refillable pellets, each of which lasts 15 days. That means you don’t have to bring several wristbands, just one band and perhaps a few small pellets.
This is a luxury brand, but the cost is still low. You 30 days worth of pellets for the price of a can get this refillable product for $19.50.

Are Mosquito Repellent Bands Legit?
This is a good question to ask. To start, I would like to tell everyone that any mosquito repellent band company does not sponsor me.
Now that we have that cleared, the answer is mostly. To specify, low-quality bands will not repel mosquitos effectively, mediocre bands will have their limitations but get the job done most of the time, and there are high-quality bands that will rarely fail you.
There are cheap, low-quality mosquito repellent bands that do a horrible job and leave bad side effects(with the use of dangerous chemicals) that you should avoid at all costs. They will also often give off strong odors that are very unpleasant.
Low-quality mosquito repellents include certain natural repellents not tested by the EPA, some sonic repellents, and chemically unstable repellents.
There are also mediocre mosquito repellent bands that work but have their limitations. With mediocre bands(cheaper, use of iffy chemical formulas), I personally got harassed less by the pesky mosquitoes, and the mosquitoes went close to me and on me very few times. Still, I received no bites(perhaps I was lucky).
The mediocre bands also did have odors to them, some strong, some not as bad. Mediocre bands include certain approved chemicals that do a decent job(DEET, Picaridin, 2-undecanoate) and certain electronic bands.
On the other side, there are the higher quality bands (all-natural EPA approved formulas*catnip oil, citronella oil, oil of Lemon Eucalyptus* and strong electric bands) will keep the mosquitoes and certain other biting insects far from you.
Although there is no 100% protection, with the higher quality, more modern mosquito repellent bands, you will have a very high chance of preventing mosquitoes from biting you. With these, there will either be a light scent or no smell at all.
Why Mosquito Repellent Bands Over Other Options?
Now, you might ask yourself – “why are mosquito bands a better insect repellent?” To start off, the EPA recommends that you do not use the lotion or bug spray under your clothes, and that means mosquitoes can just crawl right under and bite you.
It is also dangerous to spray or apply around the eyes, mouth, and ears. If you have any cuts or scratches, it is highly recommended not to use the spray or lotion, and if your skin is easily irritated, then spray, and lotions are definitely not a good choice for you.
The EPA also recommends that you use the spray and lotion repellents in an enclosed area only(can cause allergies, even for you). To add on, it is not recommended to breathe near the product(for sprays), so when applying, you will have to hold your breath, and even after that, it probably won’t be the safest. You also cannot use the sprays or lotions near any food.
To add to that, many of the sprays and lotions are highly flammable, so if you have a lighter near you, or perhaps you plan on being next to a campfire, this is not recommended. These sprays and lotions are commonly dangerous for pets, and the lotions and sprays do not work on lice or fleas. Finally, the EPA recommends that you get your children close to these sprays and lotions.
However, with the mosquito repellent band, you do not have to care about these precautions, and mosquito bands are simpler to use and easier to use.
